Repair coating systems and painting in construction site conditions
Metal structures and equipment of operating mining enterprises are operated under continuous process cycle conditions. Repair work at such facilities is often limited by tight time frames and often by the impossibility of performing high-quality abrasive blasting surface preparation (Sa 2½) due to explosion/fire hazard, confined space, or logistical remoteness.
Repair paint materials must have high tolerance to surface preparation, compatibility with old coatings, and the ability to cure at low temperatures and high humidity. During express repairs during short process shutdowns, the drying speed of paint materials becomes critical, allowing equipment to be quickly returned to service.
Our solutions are applicable for repair painting:
- metal structures and equipment components without full production shutdown;
- surfaces with mechanical preparation (hand and mechanized tools to St 2 or St 3);
- areas with tightly adhering rust and remnants of old firmly bonded coatings;
- equipment under off-season and emergency maintenance directly at the industrial site.
